Jayalalitha and Karunanidhi to appear in a same line together

The post production of Dasavatharam took 10 months for the finishing point.

Not at all in the history of Indian Cinema has a movie been made with this much of money and time with no break or interval at any stages of the production.

Apart from 10 characters of Kamal Haasan and ever since budget this movie also reduced the gap between Hollywood and Indian film Industry as Make-up, Stunt, Sound Recording, Visual Effects related works were carried out collectively by the technicians from both the industries.

Kamal dons the role of a scientist as well as the President of USA George Bush out of the ten characters. In a sequence a scientist (Kamal) is being felicitated for his new invention by President George Bush (Kamal). This ceremony is held at Chepauk Stadium since the scientist pertains to Tamil Nadu. After conceiving this scene Kamal felt it would be appropriate if the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr Karunanidhi appeared in this scene as CM. So he had approached the CM who readily agreed to appear in the scene. Karunanidhi was filmed at his residence in blue-matt format, where he is shot against a blue background which could be later transformed into the required scene with the help of computer Going one step ahead Kamal wanted one more important person to appear in this scene. That person was the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Selvi J.Jayalalitha who also readily agreed to don the cameo role.

Jayalalithaa was not available for a blue-matt shoot, the crew used file shots of the AIADMK leader visiting tsunami-hit areas in a helicopter to be added to the Karunanidhi scene, with her permission.

Both Karunanidhi and Jayalalithaa trace their political roots to the Tamil film industry. According to the shot, she would accompany the scientist in a helicopter and descend on the dais.DPI leader Thirumavalavan also makes an appearance in the film where he makes a revolutionary speech which is sure to create ripples among the audiences.
